Calfskin leather has a tight grain and fiber structure, the material is thinner and brighter than cowhide, so shoes made from calfskin will have higher quality. Some other types of animal leather such as Kidskin (made from goat skin), Pigskin/Peccary (made from pig skin), CordovanShell (made from horse skin) and of course there will be animals such as buffalo, elephant, kangaroo… especially reptiles, they are very popular for making accessories for gentlemen because of their durability and easier maintenance than other types of leather, however the price is not suitable for many people’s budget. Cowhide is still the most popular type of leather in the footwear industry.
